Effective and handy application

The mallet is the right accessory for gong players who want a mallet with little weight, as it weighs only 174 grams. The low weight is partly due to the short handle and partly to the diameter of the head, which is only 7.2 centimetres on the M174 professional gong mallet. This means you can hold it for a long time without putting too much strain on your wrists.
The handle diameter is 17.55 millimetres, with the end being slightly thicker than the handle so that the mallet sits comfortably in the hand. Because the handle is so short, there is no chance of it accidentally touching the gong at strike . This prevents annoying clanging sounds when playing, for example during meditation.

Special natural rubber core

Despite the small mallet head, you can achieve a great effect with this mallet as the head is specially constructed. The core is made of natural caoutchouc, a light and soft material that ensures clear tones without disturbing striking noises.
With its small head, the mallet is very suitable for small gongs such as feng gongs. These can be made to vibrate quickly and therefore require light mallets that do not put too much strain on them. But the M174 professional gong mallet is also suitable for all other gongs from 40 centimetres in diameter upwards.

Coating made from durable fleece

To ensure that you can enjoy this mallet for a long time, we have chosen a high-quality, hard-wearing wellness fleece to cover the head. The fleece protects the mallet from wear and tear and does not scratch your gong. The cover is available in many different trendy colors.

Fast rhythms thanks to low leverage

The professional gong mallet M174 was developed with an extra portion of feeling for fine sounds. It differs from the other ollihess gong mallets primarily in its size, weight and intended use. The mallet is the right one for you if you like playing with pairs of mallets, for example. With a handle that is only 20 centimetres long, it is easy to play fast rhythms due to its low leverage.
