Here, the power lies in reduction: with the new earthtone One & Two professional gong mallets, you will experience how compact design enables maximum playing comfort. The short handles give you a whole new freedom of sound—ideal for long sessions without fatigue or strain on the wrist.

Both versions feature extra soft silicone heads. This means you can not only play deep tone passages with particular power - but also completely free of touch noise. Create particularly long sound waves that allow you to immerse yourself deeply in the sound of the earth.

The ollihess earthtone is available in two different sizes:

earthtone One – the lightweight

  • Head diameter: approx. 80 mm

The earthtone Mallets One and Two are the trunk and roots—they represent depth, weight, and grounding. They bring the gong to its full, resonant sound. The earthtone light Mallets are the branches and shoots—lighter and more agile, yet still deep. With them, you can shape the sound, set impulses, and create transitions.

For our PGM earthtone, we opted for a completely new type of wood. Both models feature a two-stage ash wood handle. This has been oiled and sealed with organic wax. As a result, the Earthtone always feels comfortable in your hand and allows you to play with precision—even over longer periods of time.

Sustainability meets craftsmanship

Like all our mallets and friction mallet , the earthtone edition friction mallet also handmade in small family businesses in Germany – fair, regional, and environmentally friendly. The materials used are vegan, high-quality, and durable.
