Which ollihess gong mallet should i buy online?
With the right mallet you will bring out of your gong the greatest variety of sounds. Basically, it can be stated: The larger the gong, the larger the mallet should be. Of course, your individual needs and the type of gong also play a role. Depending on the length of the mallet, the size of the ball at the upper end as well as the material of the cover, the sounds you can produce on your gong will vary. So when choosing, it depends not only on the requirements of your sound instrument, but also on what sounds you want to produce.
You are unsure? Then let’s talk! Olli Hess is there to help you choose the perfect mallet for you – personally via phone or e-mail. With us, you don’t end up with an anonymous consulting hotline. By talking directly to our customers, we are constantly learning something new and can take your wishes into account even better in product development. Above all, it is close to our hearts that you have the best sound experience.
What is special about ollihess gong mallets, or gong mallets?
In every single ollihess Gong Mallet is, in addition to our years of experience and the courage to develop further, above all a whole lot of heart and soul and a great love of sound. All our products are the result of our personal passion for the instruments. Each and every one of our mallets is handcrafted from the finest materials.
We always have the drive to do even better: We regularly put our Gong Mallets to the test, try new materials, develop even more sustainable and listen to you carefully. We do this not only because we ourselves are on fire for our products, but because it is our mission to meet your needs even better.
This is also what makes our Gong Mallets so special:
-
- Sound experience with almost no impact noise
- Stable sound
- Long durability
- Sustainable and regional materials
- Made in Germany
- Fair production conditions
- Up to 17 popping colors
Ergonomic grip of our gong mallets
The feel and shape of the mallet handle is quite crucial to your sound experience. When playing with ollihess gong mallets, you always maintain full control: the slightly thickened end of the handle ensures that the mallet does not simply slip out of your hand while playing. By just feeling it, you know at what height you are holding the mallet and can fully concentrate on your sound practice.
The wood of our Gong Mallets comes from beech and nestles comfortably in your hand. This is also ensured by the organic wax with which we treat all our grips. Like every part of our gong mallets, the wooden handle is also sustainably produced from regional materials.
In addition, the length of the handle plays a crucial role in the design of our mallets: it is always perfectly matched to the respective head and its weight. This creates the optimal balance between the two ends..
Core and insulation of our gong mallets ensure minimal impact noise
A whole lot of work goes into the heads of our mallets as well – all with the goal of creating the most beautiful sound experience for you.
We have almost completely eliminated the annoying impact noise that so often occurs during sound practice. The materials used in the beater head, are particularly supple and resistant. Thanks to this composition, the meditative and soothing sound of the gong can unfold completely and there is no more annoying background noise during sound meditations or sound journeys. So your listeners can fully engage in the experience.
We have selected our materials very carefully, tested them for many years and continuously developed them further. In particular, the core of the beater head differs significantly from other products available on the market. It is made of a soft natural rubber and is developed individually for each mallet in our range. This core is sheathed with a felt insert, which is also adapted to each model and serves to further dampen the impact noise..
We have the fabric cover made from an extra soft and sustainable wellness fleece. He is treated with a special process to avoid scratches when playing the gong.
Sustainable and fair production
Each ollihess Gong Mallet is unique. It was carefully handcrafted in Germany. From the beginning, we have consciously decided against production on the assembly line and rely on family businesses and materials from the region. We are convinced that the conscious use of resources and our environment immediately affects the sound experience.
Vegan Gong Mallets from ollihess
Just recently, we took another step towards even more sustainable production. Our professional gong mallet L815 is the first completely vegan gong mallet in our range. And we still have a lot of plans! We are working every day on our vision to bring you the widest spectrum of sound – always in harmony with our environment. We will also soon add more models to our vegan range.
Difference between Gong Mallets and Rubbers
Often gong driversand mallets are thought to be the same thing: In the eyes of a layman, both are used to play a gong. However, there is much more to it than that: A gong mallet, as the name suggests, is rubbed against the gong. The gong is thereby set in vibration and unfolds a long-lasting sound. The gong mallet, on the other hand, is used to strike the gong. The generated tones are therefore rather swinging..
In addition, there are also felt mallets or rubber mallets, which again bring other properties. Our Professional Gong Mallet J.O-70 has, for example, at one end of the stem a white felt ball with which both tones can be produced at the gong as well as at the singing bowl.
sound bowl mallet from ollihess
Some of our mallets are also suitable for playing sound bowlsor other sound instruments. Again, it depends on what instrument you specifically own and what sounds you want to create. For example, the Profi Gong Mallet move line edition is very well suited for use on larger singing bowls, such as the joint bowl. Which Mallets are still suitable in conjunction with singing bowls, sound games or even drums, you will learn in each case in the detailed description of the products..
