For the third time, we have had 50 new trees planted in German state forests with the help of Planet Tree. At planettree.de you can see exactly where the new trees are and find out how they are thriving.
Who is Planet Tree?
In 2020, the nature-loving Schnee family from Hesse founded an initiative to replant forest areas - Planet Tree was born. We summarized how impressive this story and the rapid development is for you in one of our last blog posts. In the meantime, the initially small family project has become a huge success.
What has Planet Tree already achieved?
The initially small project has grown considerably: thanks to the help of private donors and corporate sponsors, almost 350,000 trees have now been planted in German state, city and municipal forests. In four regions of Germany, Planet Tree is not only helping to repair forests, but is also promoting their conversion into climate-stable mixed forests. In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in particular, the initiative is creating new forests on former, unused farmland. But take a look for yourself: We have put together some pictures for you that impressively document the work of Planet Tree and show the positive changes.

Did you know: Planet Tree also plants new beech trees every year? Beech is one of the most widespread tree species in Germany. We only use this wood in our mallets, as it avoids unnecessary transportation routes. Beech also grows back particularly quickly and is therefore a sustainable choice for gong mallets. So if you value environmental friendliness, beech wood is an excellent option.
